Poland’s Interior Ministry announced on Sunday that authorities are investigating potential assassination attempts targeting Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz.
Interior Ministry spokeswoman Karolina Galecka told a press briefing that a report concerning a possible attack on both leaders had been forwarded to the police by the State Protection Service (SOP). Earlier, the ministry directed authorities to act on intelligence received regarding a potential threat to the prime minister and the defence minister, Galecka posted on social media.
Representatives from the police, the SOP, and the internal security agency attended a security meeting on Sunday to address the situation.
