As voter dissatisfaction with the economy threatens Republicans in the upcoming midterms, President Donald Trump is highlighting large new investment initiatives as proof that his administration is delivering tangible prosperity.
On Wednesday during a briefing in the Oval Office, Trump revealed that South Korea had pledged $54 billion to finance an Alaska pipeline and associated liquefied natural gas (LNG) project, underscoring a sweeping energy buildout intended to bolster domestic production and strengthen job growth before the midterm elections.
