Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants are reportedly advancing toward a multi-player trade before the IPL 2027 auction, with three or four cricketers potentially changing hands. While the franchises have agreed to the framework in principle, the specific players involved remain undisclosed.

According to a Cricbuzz report, Rajasthan is targeting a frontline fast bowler who delivered a strong season for Lucknow last year to bolster their pace attack. A spinner from the LSG roster may also be part of the discussions, as the franchise appears open to moving bowling assets to address batting deficiencies.

Mohammed Shami, M Siddharth Linked as Potential LSG Outgoings

Mohammed Shami has emerged as a prominent name in the proposed deal. The veteran Indian seamer brings proven quality and experience, attributes that would significantly strengthen Rajasthan’s pace department.

Left-arm spinner M Siddharth is another candidate from the Lucknow camp who could provide Rajasthan with additional spin depth, though his involvement remains speculative at this stage.

Ravi Bishnoi’s name has also surfaced given his long-standing association with LSG, though he is considered an unlikely inclusion in this particular trade window.

Donovan Ferreira, Sam Curran Among Possible RR Departures

On the Rajasthan side, Donovan Ferreira and Sam Curran have been mentioned as potential trade pieces, though neither has been confirmed as part of the exchange.

Ferreira’s capacity as a middle-order batter and finisher aligns with Lucknow’s reported pursuit of batting reinforcement. His power-hitting would add flexibility to LSG’s lower middle order.

Curran’s all-round ability and experience make him another speculative option, offering Lucknow an additional overseas asset. However, his contract valuation and overseas slot implications could complicate any potential move.

With Rajasthan possessing considerable batting and all-round depth, the franchise may be willing to part with one or two players to secure the bowling upgrades they seek. Shubham Dubey has also been identified as a candidate who could feature in the negotiations.
