Red Bull has introduced limited-edition helmets and racing suits for quadruple Formula 1 World Champion Max Verstappen and his teammate Isack Hadjar ahead of the final Formula 1 race at Zandvoort. Hadjar’s helmet prominently features a design inspired by his infamous broken Delft Blue trophy from last season’s podium celebration.
This weekend marks Zandvoort’s last appearance on the F1 calendar before its removal from the schedule, prompting Red Bull to commission unique team-themed attire for its drivers. Both Verstappen and Hadjar will don helmets incorporating traditional Dutch Delftware craftsmanship, characterized by blue-and-white color palettes and ornate floral patterns.
Hadjar’s helmet carries particular sentimental value. The Racing Bulls driver captured global attention after fracturing his trophy while celebrating a third-place finish at the 2025 Dutch Grand Prix – a milestone that also made him the youngest Frenchman on an F1 podium. The helmet design includes both the shattered trophy motif and a playful cartoon depiction of Hadjar’s exuberant reaction.
In a 2025 interview with Sky Sports F1, Hadjar confirmed his intention to retain the damaged trophy despite organizational replacement efforts. “I want my broken one because it’s part of my podium journey,” he stated. “The new one doesn’t smell like champagne and alcohol – that’s what makes it special.” The helmet thus serves as a wearable tribute to this authentic moment of racing history.
The final Formula 1 races at Zandvoort will take place from 21 to 23 August. Both drivers’ Delft-inspired gear will be visible throughout the Dutch Racing Weekend festivities.
