Ric Flair Files $10 Million Lawsuit Against Digital Agency FAM Networks Alleging Fraud

Professional wrestling icon Ric Flair has filed a lawsuit seeking at least $10 million against a digital talent agency, alleging he was defrauded in the arrangement.

According to a report by The Independent, the legendary wrestler intends to “bury” FAM Networks, citing losses of at least $250,000 in revenue to date. Flair claims he was fraudulently induced into signing an agreement that failed to deliver on its contractual promises. The legal filing states that he entered into the deal in December 2025 without legal counsel reviewing it, a fact the agency was aware of despite contractually claiming the agreement had been negotiated by attorneys.

The complaint alleges that FAM exploited Flair’s need to manage his digital legacy by presenting him with an incomprehensible document, falsely claiming they had legal representation, giving him merely fourteen minutes to review the terms, and ultimately securing a perpetual license to his identity.

Flair asserts he was promised speaking engagements, public appearances, and collaborative projects, alongside the creation of passive content for his social media accounts. However, he claims the agency only reposted existing material.

The filing further states that Flair was not informed about a pre-existing legal dispute involving ufologist Steven Greer, which would have deterred him from doing business with the agency. FAM Networks positions itself as an industry thought leader that partners with influencers to bridge traditional and digital media.

FAM Networks did not respond to a request for comment from The Independent.

The lawsuit outlines specific claims, seeking at least $5 million for breach of contract and at least $5 million for fraudulent inducement:

• Fliehr is requesting that a judge rescind the agreement with FAM, order the return of control over his Facebook page, issue a declaratory judgment confirming FAM has no rights to his name, image, or likeness, and compel a complete accounting of revenues generated under his name.
• He is also seeking compensatory damages of at least $5 million for breach of contract; compensatory and punitive damages of at least $5 million for fraudulent inducement; compensatory damages to be determined at trial for violations of the New York Civil Rights Law; compensatory and punitive damages for tortious interference with prospective economic advantage to be determined at trial; and disgorgement of all funds by which FAM was unjustly enriched at his expense, plus attorneys’ fees and court costs.

Ric Flair’s Social Media Activity

During a recent appearance on Stephanie McMahon’s “What’s Your Story?” podcast, Charlotte Flair humorously described managing her father’s social media presence as a daily struggle. She noted that he frequently engages in disputes with small accounts and sometimes fails to distinguish between real content and AI-generated material.

Last year, the wrestling legend fell victim to a scam in which he was tricked into believing he had been invited to appear on the Joe Rogan Experience.

Recently, the 77-year-old icon issued a legal warning concerning robes he claims have been stolen from him over the years.
