Rico Nasty Introduces New Album RX With “Cupcake”

Rico Nasty has re‑teamed with producer Kenny Beats, now known as Kenneth Blume, for her upcoming album *RX*, slated for release on July 24. The lead single “Cupcake” signals a return to her signature “sugar trap” style after her 2025 rap‑rock LP *Lethal*. View her off‑road adventure in the video, directed by Miggy.

Rico explained, “I missed having someone honest with me,” and added that she missed reconnecting with a collaborator who knew her before her rise to fame. “If I’m going to stay true to myself, I need someone authentic, not overly serious or draining.” Dylan Brady of 100 Gecs also contributed, co‑producing a track titled “Kiss N Makeup.”

Blume said, “Since we first met, no one has made me laugh harder or pushed me beyond my comfort zone. *RX* feels like a homecoming, reflecting where she began, what endeared us all, and a bold glimpse of how far she’s continued to improve.”

Blume previously produced Rico’s breakout single “Smack a Bitch” (2018) and contributed to her *Nasty* EP that same year. In 2019 they released the joint mixtape *Anger Management*. She also appeared in the Elle Fanning Apple TV series *Margo’s Got Money Troubles* as KC, an OnlyFans creator performing as WangMangler.
