After averaging 411 yards in the win, the team’s cumulative output over the first two weeks stands at 499 yards, with the majority of those gains coming via the air. In that game, quarterback Aaron Rodgers threw two touchdown passes in the opening quarter against the Bengals, and the Steelers recorded five completions of 20 yards or more—a stretch that had been absent in the first two contests.
Reflecting on the team’s trajectory, Rodgers said on Tuesday that the offense is “close” to the standard the Steelers envision, though the group remains unsatisfied following a Week 2 defeat to New England. Consistency, he added, is the primary objective moving forward.
“You start from zero, but the chemistry begins to click when you string together a couple of solid performances,” Rodgers explained on the team’s website. “We’ve had one decent game, and we’re looking to build on that by stacking a few more.”
The Browns, meanwhile, enter the matchup on a two‑game winning streak. When Thursday’s game concludes, only one of the two clubs will be able to claim that they remain on a positive run.
