Former India opener Virender Sehwag created a lighthearted moment on television after Punjabi actress Sara Gurpal claimed that multiple cricketers had sent her direct messages on social media. The exchange occurred during ‘Rise & Fall Season 2’ and quickly gained traction online, especially after Sehwag requested to see her phone and made a playful comment linking one player’s messages to his batting performance.
Sara Gurpal Says Multiple Cricketers Have Messaged Her
The discussion began when Sehwag referenced reports that several cricketers had contacted Sara through Instagram direct messages. The actress, known for her work as a singer, model, and actor in the Punjabi entertainment industry, confirmed receiving messages from several players.
“Many cricketers send messages,” Sara noted, clarifying that the interactions extended beyond just one or two individuals.
She suggested that some of the messages might catch the former India opener off guard and jokingly warned that certain exchanges could even warrant a reprimand.
“Some messages are such that you might have to scold them,” Sara told Sehwag.
Interested by her revelation, Sehwag asked to view her phone. Sara agreed, leading to an amusing exchange that quickly became a talking point among viewers.
Virender Sehwag’s Playful Reaction Becomes the Highlight
The standout moment arrived when Sehwag began scrolling through the chats. Responding to one message, the former India batter jokingly connected the interaction to the player’s recent form on the field.
“Arey waah. Isne bhi. Tabhi run nahi ban rahe mujhe jag raha.”
The remark, which loosely translates to “Oh wow, this one too. That’s why he isn’t scoring runs,” added a cricket-themed twist to the conversation.
Sehwag’s comment seemed intended as a good-natured jibe rather than a serious accusation. His delivery made the segment entertaining, while Sara’s disclosure left audiences curious about which player had drawn his attention.
The former opener then shared another detail about the individuals whose messages he had viewed.
“Arey yeh lefty bhi hai, righty bhi hai… keeper bhi hai isme to.”
