Saul Williams’ release schedule has remained robust. He recently portrayed a preacher in the blockbuster Sinners and followed up with a collaborative project with Carlos Niño that earned him a Grammy nomination. His latest announcement is a solo effort that will be his first full-length album in seven years: Leaf Life.
The LP, recorded with producer Carlos Niño and issued on Big Dada—Williams’ original label from the late 1990s—draws on a cast of high‑profile collaborators, including Massive Attack’s Robert Del Naja, jazz saxophonist Kamasi Washington, and poet‑musician Moor Mother. The lead single, “Conspiracy,” features Gonjasufi and Moor Mother, and is accompanied by a music video directed by Cleon Arrey.
