ISLAMABAD, Aug 18 (APP): Pakistan’s primary capital market is gaining momentum, with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) approving the Offer for Sale prospectus of Naya Nazimabad Apartments REIT (NNAR) for listing on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).

The Naya Nazimabad offering, the 13th public offering approved in 2026, underscores strong primary-market momentum. Businesses across manufacturing, technology, energy, food, agriculture, and real estate are increasingly turning to the stock exchange to raise growth capital.

The offering comprises 44.06 million units, representing 15% of the REIT Scheme’s total units, according to a press release issued by the SECP on Tuesday.

The offering will be conducted via book-building, with 75% allocated to institutional investors and high-net-worth individuals, and 25% reserved for retail investors.

NNAR is a closed-end Developmental REIT established under the Real Estate Investment Trust Regulations, 2022. The scheme is developing the acquired real estate into commercial, retail, and residential units, with returns to unit holders generated through the sale of completed properties.

Pakistan now has 29 registered REIT schemes, six of which are listed on the PSX. NNAR will become the seventh listed REIT, further expanding regulated real estate investment opportunities.

SECP Chairman Dr. Kabir Ahmed Sidhu stated that the growing number of public offerings reflects increasing use of the capital market for business financing and investment. He noted that “a strong primary market helps channel savings into productive investment and provides businesses with alternative sources of long-term financing.”

Dr. Sidhu added that the SECP is working to reduce the time and cost of raising capital, improve transparency and price discovery, and broaden issuer and investor participation.
