Subsea7 S.A. (SUBCY, SUBC.OL) announced on Wednesday that it has been awarded a sizeable contract by LLOG Exploration Co. LLC, a subsidiary of Harbour Energy plc (HBRIY, HBR.L), for the Who Dat East development in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico.

The contract, valued between $50 million and $150 million, meets Subsea7’s criteria for a sizeable project.

Project management and engineering will begin immediately at the company’s Houston office, with offshore activities planned to start in 2028.

The development is located in lease MC 509-1, at a water depth of approximately 1,300 meters.

The project scope encompasses the fabrication, transportation, and installation of a 29-kilometer steel catenary riser and pipe-in-pipe system, as well as umbilicals and subsea controls, for the Who Dat floating production system.

Separately, on Tuesday, Harbour Energy’s shares closed 1.43% higher at GBp 254.60 on the London Stock Exchange, while Subsea7’s shares ended 2.26% lower at NOK 337 on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
