The first Israeli to play in the NBA, Omri Casspi, announced on Thursday that his venture capital firm, Swish Ventures, raised $250 million and brought its total funding to $800 million.
This capital supports the firm’s third fund, focusing on roughly twelve early-stage high-tech companies—primarily Seed and Series A investments—with an average investment size of $20 million per venture.
Swish Ventures has already backed industry leaders such as Cognition AI, Applied Compute, EON, and Wonderful, noting that eight of the twenty companies in its portfolio have reached unicorn status.
“Closing our third fund in such a rapid succession, backed by prestigious global institutional investors, stands as a powerful endorsement of the founders we support and the value they bring,” said Casspi in a statement.
Established in early 2025, the firm now boasts a combined portfolio valuation exceeding $60 billion.
Casspi continues serving as the sole managing partner, having attracted new backing for this phase from sources including U.S. pension funds, elite American universities, family offices, and Sequoia Capital.
“For us, the new fund is a natural progression of our targeted strategy,” Casspi emphasized. “Our mission remains to be genuine partners to the world’s top-tier entrepreneurs.”
“We prioritize rigorously selecting a select group of exceptional founders each year to provide deep support throughout their entire career trajectory,” he added.
