Suresh Raina Celebrates MS Dhoni’s Birthday, Praises Legacy and Partnership]

Former India and Chennai Super Kings teammate Suresh Raina took to social media to wish MS Dhoni on his 45th birthday, celebrating the veteran cricketer’s enduring impact on the sport.

Raina praised Dhoni’s legacy, noting how the former India captain continues to inspire generations despite retiring from international cricket in 2019. The left-handed batter reflected on their successful on-field partnership, having spent over a decade together at Chennai Super Kings.

“Happy Birthday, @msdhoni Mahi bhai! .Your legacy will never be defined by records alone, but by the countless lives you’ve inspired and the belief you’ve given to so many. Grateful to have shared this journey with you. Wishing you happiness, good health, and many more years of smiles. Stay blessed forever,” Raina said on X (formerly Twitter).

The duo’s 11-year association at Chennai Super Kings yielded four IPL titles (2010, 2011, 2018, 2021) and two Champions League T20 victories (2010, 2014), establishing CSK as a dominant force in global cricket. Raina and Dhoni were instrumental in India’s 2011 ICC World Cup and 2013 Champions Trophy triumphs, with Raina scoring crucial runs in India’s victorious World Cup campaign, including match-winning performances against Australia in the quarters and Pakistan in the semis.

Now 45, Dhoni remains connected with CSK but sat out the 2026 IPL season entirely, fueling speculation about his eventual departure from professional cricket.
