Wigan have expressed strong condemnation for racist remarks targeting Junior Nsemba following their recent match against St Helens.
The club reported the incidents to the Rugby Football League (RFL) and local authorities, emphasizing their zero-tolerance policy toward discrimination.
Despite securing a 16-14 victory, the triumph was overshadowed by post-game online hostility, with Wigan highlighting the need to address such behavior seriously.
Junior Nsemba featured for Wigan Warriors at Magic Weekend
In a formal statement, Wigan stated: “We have become aware of racist comments circulating online regarding one of our players.”
“Such remarks are deeply unacceptable and reflect a failure to respect the values of our sport. We will pursue these reports through all available channels, including the RFL and social media platforms, to ensure accountability.”
