Target is set to open eight new stores this fall, bringing its total 2026 openings to 32 as the retailer continues its trajectory toward unveiling more than 300 locations by 2035.
The upcoming locations will be situated in Mississippi, New York, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia, adding to the 24 stores already inaugurated this year.
These openings are part of Target’s $5 billion capital investment plan for 2026, which also encompasses over 130 store remodels and further investments in employee compensation and training.
