Taylor Swift made a surprise appearance at Travis Kelce’s Tight End University summit, held Tuesday night at the Pinnacle in Nashville, Tennessee.
The 14-time Grammy winner took the stage for the “Tight Ends and Friends Concert,” an event sponsored by Sports Illustrated and Reese’s. The performance served as the kickoff for the three-day training camp established in 2021 by NFL stars Travis Kelce, George Kittle, and Greg Olsen to provide tight ends league-wide a space for training, professional networking, and technical collaboration.
Joining forces with country music star Lainey Wilson, Swift closed the evening with a rendition of her classic hit “Love Story,” sending the crowd into a frenzy. During the set, Swift noted that the song was requested by a “very special tight end,” specifically naming George Kittle.
The concert also featured guest appearances by Dan and Shay and Chase Rice. In a nod to the pop star, Rice appeared with the number “13” written on his hand and openly identified himself as a “Swiftie” during his performance.
This marks Swift’s second visit to the annual summit. Last year, she surprised attendees with an impromptu acoustic version of “Shake It Off” during the opening night afterparty at the Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville, admitting to the audience that the performance had been decided only minutes before she took the stage.
George Kittle expressed his gratitude for Swift’s participation in this year’s event. Speaking to People, Kittle remarked, “She’s just such an awesome person to give us her time this close to their wedding. We’re just so thankful that they’re here.”
