The Tennessee Titans executed multiple practice squad transactions, adding three players and waiving three others while preparing for their upcoming AFC South matchup against Houston. The team also held workouts with two tight ends on Tuesday.
Along with signing a defensive back, a linebacker, and an offensive lineman, the Titans worked out Layne Pryor and Messiah Swinson but did not sign either to the practice squad or active roster.
Pryor has moved in and out of the Texans’ practice squad during 2025 after entering the league as an undrafted free agent from Northern Iowa. Following a January futures contract, he attended Texans camp, appeared in all three preseason games, and recorded two catches on five targets for 19 yards.
Swinson has navigated the practice squad circuit since debuting as an undrafted free agent with the Green Bay Packers in 2024. After being waived following training camp, he has spent the past two seasons moving between five franchises, including three separate Packers stints, without appearing in a regular-season game.
Though neither tight end was signed, both remain notable names as potential candidates as the season progresses.
