Following Toby Keith’s passing in February 2024, the country music community has continued to honor his legacy through sustained streaming of his catalog. This persistent engagement has kept the late superstar consistently present on Billboard charts week after week. In the latest tracking period, Keith appears on two tallies with the same compilation, 35 Biggest Hits, which coincidentally reaches distinct, historic milestones on each roster.
35 Biggest Hits Marks Five Years on the Billboard 200
The compilation logs its 260th week on the Billboard 200 this frame, marking exactly five full years as one of the most-consumed albums in the United States across all genres. Despite reaching this landmark, the title slips five positions, moving from No. 54 to No. 59.
An Unusual Journey to the Summit
35 Biggest Hits has traced a remarkable path on the Billboard 200 since its debut in May 2008. The collection did not reach No. 1 until February 2024, when renewed interest following Keith’s death propelled the decades-old project to the summit—his fifth career leader on the tally. Now, years after its initial launch, it becomes Keith’s first project to spend 260 weeks on the competitive ranking.
Multiple Long-Charting Albums in Keith’s Catalog
35 Biggest Hits joins several other Keith collections that have accumulated triple-digit weeks on the Billboard 200. Unleashed spent 104 weeks on the list, while Greatest Hits 2 logged 106. Numerous additional Keith projects have maintained presence for at least a full year.
35 Biggest Hits Reaches 400 Weeks on Top Country Albums
On the genre-specific Top Country Albums chart, the same compilation climbs one spot to No. 11 from No. 12, nearing a return to the top 10. As it advances, 35 Biggest Hits achieves 400 weeks on the ranking—a first for Keith, who placed 26 projects on the tally throughout his career.
Seven Albums Surpass 100 Weeks on Country Chart
Seven of Keith’s 26 entries on the Top Country Albums chart have spent at least 100 weeks on the roster. Four titles—Pull My Chain, Unleashed, Shock’n Y’all, and How Do You Like Me Now?!—each finished with exactly 104 weeks. Greatest Hits 2 exceeded that mark with 117 weeks, peaking at No. 2 and missing the top spot by a single position. Remarkably, ten additional Keith albums have each celebrated at least 52 weeks on the chart. Although the superstar earned ten No. 1 albums during his lifetime, none has demonstrated the enduring stability of 35 Biggest Hits.
