WWE legend Trish Stratus has spoken about a period early in her career when she and Lilian Garcia experienced bullying within the locker room.
In a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, Stratus reflected on the friendship she developed with Garcia and the difficult circumstances they faced together as newcomers.
“Me and Lilian [Garcia] had bonded. We bonded from the very beginning because, let’s just say that at some points the locker room was kind of mean, and me and Lilian got, we’ll say bullied, I guess we can say,” she said.
Stratus added that the two formed a close bond by supporting each other through the harassment they encountered in the “mean” locker room.
“And there was times where, like, ‘Why is my makeup counter, why is my stuff here? It was on the counter before.’ And it’s like, ‘Because you don’t get that counter ’cause you’re new.’ And so there was stuff that happened. So Lilian was going through it, I was going through it, and we’re like, ‘Do you want to… let’s be friends because then we…’ Okay, so we bonded early on. We started driving, whatever.”
Today, Stratus and Garcia remain close friends and frequently share photos on social media. Stratus last appeared on the ring at WWE Evolution 2025 and has recently discussed the possibility of returning to competition.
