President Donald Trump emphasized the economic benefits of attracting AI data centers to local communities, stating that officials should actively seek such projects for job creation and tax revenue.

The president highlighted that AI infrastructure projects generate significant employment opportunities and substantial fiscal contributions through taxes, making them advantageous for states and municipalities.

“These facilities offer substantial employment opportunities and considerable tax revenue,” Trump stated during a White House meeting with technology leaders. “If I were a governor or mayor, I would actively pursue these projects, as they provide substantial benefits to communities.”
