The world’s largest contract chipmaker Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co reported September revenue of $511.86 billion New Taiwan dollars ($16.03 billion), marking a 54.6% year-over-year increase, though slightly down 0.6% from August.
The company’s third quarter revenue totaled approximately $NT1.49 trillion.
Shares of TSMC closed 1.35% lower ahead of releasing monthly figures.
TSMC, a key supplier to Nvidia and Apple, has seen heightened demand for advanced artificial intelligence chips.
During September, TSMC finalized commitments to deploy ASML’s High NA extreme ultraviolet lithography systems, a critical enabler for next-generation semiconductor manufacturing, aligning with Samsung Electronics in adopting this cutting-edge technology.
The company is slated to release its third-quarter earnings report next week.
