U.S. Marshals Arrest Tate Brothers in Miami Amid New UK Sex Crime Charges

Andrew and Tristan Tate, prominent manosphere influencers, were arrested in Miami on Saturday by U.S. Marshals in connection with new rape and sex trafficking charges filed in England. According to the Associated Press, British authorities are seeking the brothers’ extradition.

Andrew Tate faces seven counts of rape, three counts of sex trafficking, three counts of assault, and 19 charges related to sexual images of children and extreme pornography, according to the New York Times. Tristan Tate is charged with two counts of rape, one count of sexual assault, and three counts of sex trafficking. These charges are in addition to the 21 charges already announced by British authorities in 2025, alongside ongoing investigations in Romania and the U.S.

The brothers had previously been indicted in Romania on trafficking and rape charges, but a judge dismissed the indictment due to procedural issues. Many believe the lifting of travel restrictions on the brothers and the judge’s decision may have been linked to a pressure campaign by the Trump administration on the Romanian government. Additionally, the White House was accused of intervening on Andrew Tate’s behalf last year when customs officials seized his devices.

The Tate brothers self-identify as misogynists and have built a significant online following despite being banned from major platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram for hate speech. They operated an online school claiming to teach men how to liberate themselves from ‘socially induced incarceration’ and how to recruit women into ‘sexual slavery’. They have also promoted an online course on making money through cryptocurrency, drop shipping, and ‘scam-adjacent activities,’ according to Vox, which described the structure as resembling a pyramid scheme.

The Tate brothers have faced multiple arrests and criminal investigations related to their activities since 2015.
