SECRETARY RUBIO: Thank you for the warm welcome. It is an honor to be here just two weeks after the arrival of our new ambassador, who I am confident will serve excellently. President, I appreciate your hospitality. Our ties with the Philippines are deep and enduring, and in light of recent developments, this partnership is more vital than ever. I look forward to reaffirming our strong relationship and commitment to the U.S.-Philippines alliance.
