UAE’s 1 Billion Followers Summit Unveils $1.1 Million in Prizes for 2027 Edition to Drive Global Content Innovation

The UAE’s 1 Billion Followers Summit, the largest expo dedicated to helping content creators share expertise, network, and showcase their talent, has unveiled an impressive $1.1 million in prizes for its 2027 edition. The announcement highlights the UAE’s ongoing commitment to positioning itself as the global epicenter of content creation and innovation.

Chairman of the UAE Government Media Office, Saeed Al-Eter, announced that the summit will feature two major new award categories. The first is the AI Film award, developed in partnership with TikTok, ByteDance, and SeeDance. Aspiring creators can submit an original five-to-seven-minute film generated using SeeDance’s artificial intelligence software for a chance to win the grand prize of $1,000,000.

The second award, titled “1 Million Stories,” will be held in partnership with TikTok. This award celebrates inspiring and positive narratives shared on the TikTok platform under the hashtag #1millionstories, with a grand prize of $100,000. Al-Eter noted that the core objective of the summit is to foster the creation of impactful, positive content.

“Content creation is a growing sector and is ever-evolving. We are following this growth. The UAE encourages and believes in content creators,” Al-Eter stated. He further emphasized that the 2027 edition of the summit will be the largest in history, cementing the UAE’s status as a global leader in the industry.

In addition to the awards, the summit will dedicate a specific day to Instagram creators and host a creator market featuring 100 companies. This initiative is designed to help showcase businesses and secure vital investment opportunities for creators. Mohammad Al-Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs of the UAE, also highlighted the nation’s transformation into a major hub for new media and content creation.
