Aston Villa manager Unai Emery has shared his reaction after Saturday’s 4-4 Premier League draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Aston Villa put in a strong performance on the road but will be deeply disappointed after failing to secure maximum points from the game.
They were 4-2 ahead in stoppage time but conceded two goals through Joshua Zirkzee and Patrick Dorgu to miss out on a well-earned victory.
Speaking after the game, Emery said that United have very good players and it was unsurprising that they fought back and secured a point.
He said: “They have very good players and the atmosphere is always fantastic. They were feeling good and confident and playing Champions League. They will come back again.”
With the stalemate, Villa sit 10th in the league table with just 13 points, while United languish 18th with only eight points after the first 10 games of the campaign.
After the international break, the Midlands outfit will host Sunderland. United will be away to arch-rivals Liverpool when the season resumes.
