As Under Armour commemorates three decades of redefining athletic performance, the brand inaugurates a new chapter through a debut capsule collection with French fashion house Marine Serre. Drawing inspiration from Under Armour’s iconic 2000s sportswear archive—most notably the baselayer—Marine Serre reframes sport as a universal language of the body.

The limited-edition capsule launches June 5 exclusively on marineserre.com, at select Marine Serre retail locations, and via an immersive pop-up experience in Paris running June 5–7, before expanding globally later this summer on UA.com. Situated at Rue de Turenne in the 3rd arrondissement, the pop-up will stage an environment where the raw energy of sport dialogues with the refinement of craftsmanship and art, inviting visitors into the world of Marine Serre x Under Armour.

Shaping Movement

Marine Serre has emerged as one of fashion’s most influential modern houses by dismantling traditional systems of dress and reconstructing established codes into something entirely new. Drawing on her own experience as a former professional tennis player, Serre approaches design with the dual instincts of maison and athlete, bringing rigor, restraint, and clarity to how movement is shaped through fashion.

That shared ethos made the baselayer the natural foundation of the collaboration—a blank canvas for exploration. Long valued solely for function, the garment worn closest to the body is reimagined through Serre’s lens as something destined for more. It becomes a symbol of origin: where movement begins, where discipline is built, and where performance is remembered—for every body, across sport and street.

“Sport has always been part of my life,” said Marine Serre, Founder and Creative Director. “With Under Armour, I wanted to explore the beauty of movement through pieces that combine performance, precision, and beauty—starting from the baselayer, the closest element to the body and to the athlete’s experience.”

Where Performance Begins

The baselayer sits at the heart of both brands’ origins. For Under Armour, it is the product that started it all: engineered to endure, refined through decades of athlete insight, and trusted across every sport and condition. For Marine Serre, it is the House’s iconic “Second Skin”: the Moon-patterned layer that emblematizes its creative identity. Together, these foundations converge in a collection shaped by intention, elegance, and respect for movement and the body in all its forms.

The design language of the debut capsule is stripped back and deliberate. Lean lines and sharp contrasts of black and white, crafted with Under Armour’s HeatGear technology, reflect the focus and intensity of sport at its highest level. A bespoke print merges Marine Serre’s signature Moon motif with Under Armour’s heartbeat logo, uniting two symbols grounded in discipline and belief in progress.

The UA Proto Speed II also resurfaces from the archives for the first time since the late 2000s. A layered textile base, sculptural leather paneling, and a silicone Under Armour x Marine Serre logo on the toe and vamp preserve its nostalgic DNA while reimagining it through a modern lens.

“Whether in training or in design, progress comes from deliberate repetition and purposeful execution,” said Yuron White, SVP, GM of Sportswear and Collabs at Under Armour. “Beginning with the baselayer felt instinctive. It’s where that process exists closest to the body—and where our two perspectives meet with clarity and authenticity.”
