Northern Ireland rider William Dunlop recently passed away at the Skerries 100, the only fatality in a road race during 2026 in the Republic of Ireland. His brother, Michael — renowned for 36 Isle of Man TT wins — secured victory in the opening race before the accident.

Additional deaths continue to surface this year, including Irish rider James Walsh, who lost his life at the Tandragee 100 in Northern Ireland last Friday.
