The Vancouver Canucks have appointed Richard Seeley as the general manager of the AHL’s Abbotsford Canucks and assistant general manager of the NHL team.
Seeley has accumulated eight seasons of experience as the GM of the AHL’s Ontario Reign, culminating in a Pacific Division title during the 2025-26 season, with a franchise-best record of 47-20-3-2.
Before his tenure with the Reign, Seeley served as the head coach and director of hockey operations for the Los Angeles Kings’ ECHL affiliate in Manchester, making the postseason all three years.
Selected by the Kings in the 1997 draft, Seeley played 399 games in the AHL with Lowell, Manchester, Bridgeport, and Norfolk.
