The annual Regata Storica transformed Venice’s Grand Canal into a vibrant spectacle on Sunday, as historic boats sailed through the heart of the city.
Spectators lined the waterfront and gathered near the Rialto Bridge to watch the colourful procession of decorated vessels, a testament to Venice’s rich maritime history.
Following the parade, traditional rowing competitions unfolded, attracting visitors from around the world.
The event was praised for its blend of tradition and vitality, with one attendee describing it as a celebration of “the Venice of the past and the Venice of today.”
