Wardlow made his long-awaited return to the ring during the PAC tribute episode of AEW Dynamite, participating in a 10-man main event that also marked Bryan Danielson’s comeback. Following the broadcast, the AEW star took to social media to share his thoughts on the evening.
In a post on X, Wardlow described the night as bittersweet, mourning the loss of a peer while celebrating his own return after an extended absence.
Bittersweet night. Extremely saddened by the loss of one the best wrestlers and humans I’ve ever met, but also after over two years, so incredibly happy to be home. Thank you @AEW and thank you to everyone in the crowd last night in Pittsburgh for the love that was shown

The appearance marked Wardlow’s first on AEW television since the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door event in August 2025, where he suffered a torn pectoral muscle during his return segment. In the main event, Danielson and the Death Riders emerged victorious over Wardlow and his Don Callis Family allies.
