Another Important Week for Wall Street
This week’s earnings calendar brings together some of the most closely watched companies across technology, semiconductors, consumer spending, and transportation.
Earnings Calendar Highlights — This Week
AMD, Arm, and Palantir will be especially important for technology sentiment, while Apple could influence the broader Nasdaq. Meanwhile, McDonald’s and Uber will offer a useful gauge of consumer resilience.

- Investors will monitor iPhone sales, services revenue, profit margins, and demand across major international markets.

- The sustainability of its valuation will remain a key consideration, particularly if growth expectations become harder to exceed.
Tuesday — November 3
Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) — Q3 2026 earnings (after market close)
- Expected EPS: $1.94
- Investors will focus on data-center demand, semiconductor sales, and competition in the accelerator market.
- Guidance will be especially important following recent volatility across chip stocks and growing concerns about infrastructure spending.
Arm Holdings (ARM) — Q2 2027 earnings (after market close)
- Expected EPS: $0.48
- Investors will assess royalty revenue, licensing growth, and demand for processor technology across smartphones, data centers, and other computing markets.
- Any indication of stronger infrastructure demand could influence sentiment across the semiconductor sector.

- Expected EPS: $3.38
- Investors will monitor comparable-store sales, customer traffic, and consumer spending.
- Pricing strategies and operating margins will remain important as households face persistent cost pressures.
Uber Technologies (UBER) — Q3 2026 earnings (before market open)

- Investors will focus on mobility bookings, delivery growth, and profitability.
- Management commentary on demand, driver incentives, and operating margins could influence the stock’s next move.
What Investors Should Watch
- Semiconductor sentiment: AMD and Arm could influence the broader chip sector, particularly after recent volatility surrounding infrastructure investment and expectations for future demand.
- Big Tech valuations: Apple’s results will provide another indication of whether large technology companies can maintain earnings growth amid rising investment costs.
- Consumer demand: McDonald’s and Uber offer insight into spending patterns, pricing power, and the resilience of household demand.
- Growth expectations: Palantir’s results could test investor confidence in expensive technology valuations and expectations for continued revenue expansion.
- Forward guidance: Beyond headline EPS figures, management forecasts and operating margins could determine the market reaction.
With investors already questioning elevated valuations and the returns from infrastructure spending, even earnings beats may not guarantee positive share-price reactions. Forward guidance, profitability, and evidence of sustainable growth are likely to matter more than headline numbers.
Forex Signals Update
Last week, markets were quite volatile again, with gold trading around $4,300 before retreating lower this week. EUR/USD slipped below 1.14 while major indices closed the week higher at new records. The moves were not too large, and we opened 34 trading signals in total, finishing the week with 23 winning signals and 9 losing ones.
Gold Capped by the 20 SMA
Gold prices experienced a volatile trading week, ultimately finishing significantly lower after an initially strong rally lost momentum. The precious metal climbed above $4,300 early in the week but later reversed sharply, ending nearly $100 below its recent highs as investors reassessed the outlook for interest rates and global risk sentiment.
The decline was largely driven by a stronger U.S. dollar, rising Treasury yields, and reduced demand for defensive assets following positive geopolitical developments in the Middle East. Despite the weakness, gold remains above the critical $4,000 support zone, which continues to define the longer-term bullish trend but is under attack.
Moving Averages Hold as Support for USD/JPY
Foreign exchange markets saw sharp swings. Early in the week, U.S. yield differentials and Japanese capital outflows pushed the dollar above ¥150, but disappointing U.S. jobs data triggered profit-taking, causing USD/JPY to slide by four yen from its peak. However, the new BOJ governor the JPY has weakened and USD/JPY soared to 154 and we decided to close our buy signal for more than 80 pips as the pair found support at the 20 daily SMA (gray) and has rebounded more than 200 pips off that MA but reversed after the 25 bps rate cut from the FED. The price climbed to $164 but reversed after the BOJ meeting and fell 7 cents, breaking below the 100 daily SMA (red) as well, which has been acting as support before.

Cryptocurrency Update
Bitcoin Faces the 100 SMA as Resistance
Cryptocurrencies remained highly active over the summer. Bitcoin (BTC) climbed to fresh highs of $123,000 and $124,000 in July and August, supported by institutional inflows and technical strength. However, remarks from Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent ruling out U.S. increases to BTC reserves triggered a steep pullback, sending the coin down to $80K before finding support at the 100 weekly SMA (green) which might turn into resistance at 90K now, after the rebound.

Ethereum Returns Above $2,000
Ethereum (ETH) has been similarly strong, surging toward $4,800, its highest since 2021 and near its all-time peak of $4,860. Despite a dip last week, ETH found support at the 20-day SMA, with retail enthusiasm and renewed institutional participation driving fresh upside momentum. Last week we saw a dive below $2,000 but buyers returned and pushed the price above $2K again.
