Southern Spain is reeling after a rapidly spreading wildfire claimed 11 lives, including several foreign nationals, according to local authorities. The blaze has become one of the deadliest incidents of Europe’s intense summer wildfire season.
The fire erupted near Los Gallardos, a town in Andalusia popular among international retirees. Among the victims identified were four British citizens, with at least one Spanish individual confirmed among the deceased, officials stated.
