Roman Reigns and New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson were set to share a memorable moment at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, but their segment took an unexpected turn. Brunson received a rapturous welcome from the Madison Square Garden crowd, accompanied by an inflatable blimp commemorating the Knicks’ latest NBA Championship victory.
Inside the ring, Reigns presented Brunson with a custom-designed WWE championship belt, emblazoned with “King of New York” name plates. However, their celebration was abruptly cut short when Seth Rollins’ entrance theme played, followed by Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton emerging with a steel chair. The audience responded with boos as the two orchestrated a surprise attack on Reigns.
Rollins struck Reigns with punches and attempted to execute a Stomp, but Brunson intervened by stepping between them. The trio engaged in a tense standoff until Reigns retaliated with a Superman Punch and a devastating Spear. Haliburton, remaining outside the ring, assisted Rollins in retreating up the entrance ramp. Reigns and Brunson then reclaimed their titles, setting the stage for an anticipated SummerSlam showdown.
