AEW announced a collaboration with the Minnesota Twins for a special event scheduled for tonight, revealing several matchups.
After the Twins face the Los Angeles Angels, Target Field in Minneapolis will host AEW wrestling matches. The card, lasting approximately 75 minutes, will be held in a ring set up at Gate 34. No live broadcast is planned.
Five matches have now been confirmed for the lineup:
AEW Brawl in the Ballpark (Friday, July 10) —
- The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin) versus Shane Taylor Promotions (Shane Taylor & Lee Moriarty)
- Julia Hart versus Hyan
- Hook, Anthony Bowens & Action Andretti versus Komander, Dante Martin & Darius Martin
- Brian Cage versus Serpentico
- Orange Cassidy versus Wheeler Yuta
Hart and Top Flight (Darius & Dante Martin) hail from Minnesota, making this a homecoming for them.
Admission to the matches is free for anyone who has purchased tickets to the Twins versus Angels game.
To promote the event, Bowens — who played college baseball — threw out the first pitch at Target Field yesterday.
