British fashion label Aligne will launch at John Lewis this August, with the department store carrying the brand’s autumn/winter 2026 collection across its online platform and 16 physical locations. The selected stores span key UK hubs, including London’s Oxford Street, Peter Jones, Kingston, and Westfield London, alongside Cheadle, Bluewater, Cambridge, Cheltenham, Cribbs Causeway, Leeds, Oxford, High Wycombe, Liverpool, Southampton, Edinburgh, and Glasgow.

The brand has already debuted at Anthropologie with a mix of spring/summer 2026 and early autumn/winter 2026 pieces, while Brown Thomas began stocking the spring/summer 2026 collection in April. According to Aligne CEO Ginny Seymour, each wholesale partner will adopt approximately 95% of the brand’s full product range, a figure driven by the label’s strategy of releasing curated, 30-piece monthly edits.

Seymour noted that the product assortment will be tailored slightly per retailer; the John Lewis edit will lean toward tailored separates, whereas the Anthropologie offer will skew more casual. “We are turning three on 1 August, so now I feel really confident in who Aligne is and what we stand for,” Seymour said. “Once I felt comfortable knowing who our UK customer was, it was important for me that wholesale became part of the mix.”

She emphasized that while Aligne remains a direct-to-consumer business at its core, physical retail provides a vital touchpoint. “It is also about providing that real-life shopping experience and having people try on the product, particularly new customers,” she added.

John Lewis fashion director Rachel Morgans welcomed the partnership, stating: “At John Lewis, it’s our mission to curate an edit of premium, aspirational brands that will excite our customers and make it easy for them to build the perfect capsule wardrobe. This season, we’re thrilled to bring Aligne into our brand portfolio. The move marks Aligne’s return to wholesale following a strategic restructuring and pivot to a direct-to-consumer model in 2023, led by Seymour, who took the helm in 2022 ahead of the brand’s relaunch.
