Charli XCX’s Music, Fashion, Film and Tinashe’s Popstar rank among the year’s standout releases. During the second weekend of Austin City Limits, Charli elevated her headlining set by inviting Tinashe on stage as a special guest, following her earlier surprise appearance with Troye Sivan the previous weekend.
During the collaborative performance, Tinashe delivered the live premiere of “Nobody Wanna Dance Anymore,” a beloved track from her acclaimed Popstar album. The duo also performed “Melatonin,” which topped our best songs of the week list when it was released in August.
Both artists have a shared history, having collaborated on Ty Dolla $ign’s “Drop That Kitty” in 2015 and on the 2024 remix of Charli’s “B2b.” Most recently, Tinashe was announced as a performer for Chappell Roan’s Super Graphic Spectacular, a two-day charity event in Los Angeles.
