e.l.f. Cosmetics Debuts ‘Mirror Mix’ Album Featuring Seven Artists After a Three‑Day Creative Sprint

Providing 50 songwriters, producers, creators, and collaborators with unrestricted creative freedom during a single marathon session produced e.l.f. Cosmetics’ latest project, the “Mirror Mix” compilation. The album showcases emerging talent across pop, R&B, Latin, and rock, reflecting the brand’s dedication to empowering the next generation of cultural creators—particularly independent artists who often lack industry support.

Independent musicians today confront steep obstacles: one in three cite limited exposure as a barrier to being heard, while 82% say touring is financially out of reach; among 18‑24‑year‑old artists, that figure climbs to 87.5%. E.l.f. aims to alter this landscape. In 2024 the brand launched “Get Ready With Music, The Album,” a compilation that achieved record‑breaking streams and views on Spotify and YouTube. With “Mirror Mix,” e.l.f. is doubling down on its commitment to artist support.

“Beauty and music are both powerful forms of self‑expression and everyone deserves the opportunity to be seen, heard and celebrated,” said Patrick O’Keefe, Chief Integrated Marketing Officer, e.l.f. Brands. “Mirror Mix is about opening doors for rising artists, giving them a platform to connect with new audiences and turn these moments into lasting careers.”

Working alongside producer Michelle Bell, founder of Geo Massive, the artists participated in an intensive three‑day bootcamp, logging eight hours of focused writing time each day. They were tasked with creating music that embodies e.l.f.’s mission of empowerment. “At e.l.f., we’ve always believed in empowering the voices of every eye, lip, and face, and that includes every artist with a story and a fan looking to discover something new,” O’Keefe added.

The lineup spans a wide array of genres, from the jangly pop‑rock of sister trio Hello Sister to e.l.f. ambassadors Joaquina, a Grammy‑winning Venezuelan singer‑songwriter, and WNBA star Flau’jae Johnson. Together, the seven creators on “Mirror Mix” form an eclectic blend that illustrates the direction music is heading.

To celebrate the artists and the album’s release, e.l.f. has partnered with Genius for its popular Open Mic series. On Wednesday, September 30, the seven featured artists will perform live for an intimate audience in a stripped‑back setting. “Mirror Mix” is now available on major streaming platforms—including Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music—and will also be accessible through e.l.f. UP! on Roblox.
