For more than fifty years, Faust have existed in various line‑ups. Today the band’s four surviving founding members announced that each will issue a solo album, with Bureau B set to release all four records together in September.
Below is a brief overview of each forthcoming record:
With Unfounded, Hans Joachim Irmler revisits the raw essence of sound, delivering an immersive blend of electronics, organ drones and spontaneous improvisation that captures Faust’s most radical and unsettling tendencies.
Jean‑Hervé Péron’s MOI is a deeply personal yet broadly communal work, weaving together a diverse group of collaborators into a playful, moving collage of musique concrète, spoken word, avant‑pop, jazz and Fluxus‑inspired experimentation.
Learn to fly features Gunther Wüsthoff, joined by Onnen Bock and Bureau B’s Gunther Buskies, rekindling the openness and collective spirit of Faust’s early years. The result is a rhythmically inventive, genre‑defying set that balances wit, groove and adventurous experimentation.
Meanwhile, Werner “Zappi” Diermaier’s Gugaruz, created with Schneider TM, puts rhythm at the heart of a constantly shifting soundscape of noise, electronics and electro‑acoustic invention, merging his distinctive percussion approach with electronic manipulation, studio tinkering and textural deconstruction.

All four Faust solo albums will be released on September 26 through Bureau B.
