Kyle Jeffers Extends Contract with Wichita Thunder Through 2026-27 Season
WICHITA, Kansas — The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s San Jose Sharks and American Hockey League’s San Jose Barracuda, announced that forward Kyle Jeffers has re-signed for the 2026-27 season.
Jeffers, 27, was claimed off waivers in October ahead of the 2025-26 campaign. Born in Oviedo, Florida, he logged 27 points (10 goals, 17 assists) across 60 games with the Thunder.
Marking this milestone, the 27‑year‑old has now completed his third full professional season after signing with Savannah in the 2023‑24 offseason. Over 125 ECHL outlays, he has accumulated 51 points (23 goals, 28 assists).
Prior to turning professional, Jeffers enjoyed three college hockey stints split between American International College and Lindenwood University. At Lindenwood, he capped out his collegiate career with 38 points (17 goals, 21 assists) in 60 games while earning an ACHA conference title before the Lions transitioned to NCAA Division I.
