Vasiliy Lomachenko, a former three-weight world champion, has received a public challenge from reigning WBC super featherweight titleholder O’Shaquie Foster as he prepares for a comeback at age 38.

Lomachenko retired after defeating George Kambosos in May 2024 to claim the IBF lightweight title, bringing an end to an illustrious career that included Olympic gold medals and a 396-1 amateur record. However, his recent announcement to return to the ring has sparked renewed interest in potential matchups.

Foster, who reclaimed the WBC super featherweight belt in a rematch against Robson Conceição in September 2024 following an earlier loss, expressed his willingness to face Lomachenko in a high-profile bout. “I would give him the opportunity. I can be the first one he comes to see. I’ll send him back to where he needs to be. If you coming back, let’s get it done. I got the title and I’ll put it up. We can make it happen,” Foster said in an interview with The Ring.

The American boxer’s offer comes after his majority decision win over Ray Ford in May 2024, and a potential fight between the two would mark a significant milestone in Lomachenko’s return, pitting him against a current champion in the super featherweight division.
