Dos Santos has joined Puma from Nike, where she will serve as Vice President of the Core Business Unit.
With over 21 years of experience at Nike, Dos Santos began her career as a demand and supply planning manager for central Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. She has progressively advanced through roles, including women’s merchandiser manager for central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa in 2017, and women’s senior merchandising director for Asia Pacific and Latin America in 2016.
The appointment follows Puma’s establishment of a dedicated business unit in February, aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and strategic focus.
Additionally, Puma has formed specialized teams for its lifestyle segment, Sportstyle.
Maria Valdes, Puma’s chief brand officer, stated: “Throughout her career, Marcia has consistently delivered strong commercial outcomes across regions and product lines for women, men, and children, showcasing exceptional go-to-market and merchandising expertise.”
“With her extensive industry background, proven commercial success, and talent for building high-performing teams, she is ideally positioned to elevate Puma’s core business, which serves as our commercial backbone,” Valdes added.
In the latest financial results for the 12 weeks ending 30 April 2026, Puma reported an 19.6% year-on-year increase in operating profit to €51.9m (£44.9m), despite a 1% decline in sales to €1.86bn (£1.61bn) on an adjusted currency basis.
