Pop icon Taylor Swift has made a generous $50,000 donation to support a mother-of-three recovering from serious injuries sustained while aiding strangers during a roadside emergency.

The Grammy-winning artist contributed to a GoFundMe campaign established to assist Ashley Taunton, her husband, and their three children as they navigate mounting medical expenses and daily costs during her recovery period, according to Rolling Stone.

The fundraising page details that Taunton stopped her vehicle during heavy rain to assist someone following a car accident—behavior her husband Joe describes as simply “Ashley being Ashley.” While she was helping at the scene, another vehicle hydroplaned toward the group. Taunton pushed a bystander to safety but was struck by the vehicle herself.

The mother now faces an extensive recovery process and has already undergone two major surgeries, with additional procedures scheduled, the GoFundMe states.

Swift reportedly left a message for Taunton and her family on the donation page: “Wishing you the best recovery possible and sending love to your family!”

This act of generosity aligns with Swift’s well-documented commitment to charitable causes. Earlier this year, the singer and her husband, NFL star Travis Kelce, announced a $26 million donation distributed among 20 charitable organizations across the United States, ahead of their highly publicized wedding celebration at Madison Square Garden in July.
