A Rwandan national residing in north London has been charged in connection with the 1994 genocide in Rwanda.
The Crown Prosecution Service noted that these are the first genocide-related charges ever filed in the United Kingdom.
Dr. Vincent Brown, previously known as Dr. Vincent Bajinya, aged 65, faces one count of conduct ancillary to genocide and six counts of conduct ancillary to murder, both classified as crimes against humanity.
He is scheduled to appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
