Construction has begun on a Ulla Johnson boutique on London’s Sloane Street, set to open in August. This will mark her first standalone boutique outside the United States, representing a significant milestone for brand expansion. In 2026, following two years of development, Johnson introduced a trio of fragrances. “Each fragrance captures a specific memory,” she explained. “They needed to feel deeply personal, especially as the market is saturated with mass‑produced products.”
Johnson approaches her business with a sensual sensibility that is reflected in her fragrances, whose bottle caps were sculpted by Los Angeles artist Jonathan Yamakami. This same aesthetic appears in her new resort collection, which she co‑created with artist Cassi Namoda. Namoda’s floral canvases were translated into large‑scale prints on vivid silk twill dresses and inspired the opulent, made‑in‑Italy jacquard fabrics of a sleeveless top and full‑skirt ensemble. Additional highlights include subtle floral motifs on chiffon dresses and separates, as well as three‑dimensional rosette embroidery on a statement top paired with denim.
Beyond the printed garments, knitwear is a key attraction in Johnson’s collection. She continues to offer her signature hand‑crocheted dresses in both short and long lengths, while also introducing a sparkling three‑piece set comprising a cardigan, mini dress, and cropped tank, as well as playful black‑and‑white dresses with varying fringe details. Even as her range expands into basic categories, the distinctive appeal of her apparel lies in its unexpected details. For example, the waistband of five‑pocket jeans with a barrel silhouette is accented with brass hardware, removing the need for a belt. Another style, paired with a matching bomber jacket, features a feather‑inspired jacquard that becomes more pronounced with each wash, and the pieces are machine‑washable.
