Sources indicate that members of the 2026 NBA Championship team are expected to be present.
The report also mentioned that WWE had considered featuring NBA Finals MVP Jalen Brunson in a segment, with ideas involving Danhausen.
Brunson had developed a friendly rapport with the Knicks after a light‑hearted “uncursing” bit preceded the team’s playoff winning streak.
Those plans were dropped when WWE learned Brunson would undergo left wrist surgery, which would prevent any physical participation.
SNY later confirmed that Brunson has had the surgery, addressing an injury he played through during the championship run.
A WWE insider said the company remains hopeful that Brunson will still make an appearance.
