Protostar Rises: Kyle Fletcher Reclaims AEW International Championship, Talks with Mick Foley at Beach Break 2026

Kyle Fletcher has reclaimed the AEW International Championship, ending Konosuke Takeshita’s reign during this week’s AEW Dynamite: Beach Break 2026. The bout marked Takeshita’s fourth title defense since he won the belt at Double or Nothing in May.

Fletcher, dubbed the “Protostar,” secured the victory with a decisive brainbuster on the turnbuckle, definitively unseating Takeshita to become the new International Champion.

Following the match, Fletcher remained in the ring for a live interview conducted by WWE Hall of Fame legend and recent AEW signee Mick Foley.
